Shibden Park, Halifax
It was a beautiful, warm, clear day today so we decided to go to Shibden Park in Halifax to see if there were still some autumn leaves worth looking at. We were not disappointed. This is a pinfold, part of a permanent dry stone walling exhibition near Shibden Hall. Local families were out in force, sunbathing on the grass, rowing boats on the lake, cycling along the paths and enjoying an ice cream.
Afterwards we went to Brighouse train station to see a steam train which was having a day out. There were two locomotives in fact, The Tin Bath and The Lancashire Fusilier. I'll leave it to Robert10 to blip them because steam trains don't do much for me unless they're Welsh and small. We also met Robert10's cousin and fellow blipper, Freyjad, there.
