Gate in the Chilterns

It has been the most glorious weekend here and after leaf clearing and lawn mowing we decided to take an hours walk to unwind.  

The beech woodland is glorious this year and walking up a path surrounded by the red leaves on the trees and ground, I stopped to look back and caught the sun on the gate we had just walked through.

So fortunate.
