Groningen, Hoge der A

We went to see the exhibition of H. N. Werkman at the museum in Groningen after we visited my father. He is fine and was happy to see us. He, 80 years old and very averse to chances, told us that he will be connected to Internet soon. I am glad for his courage to try something 'new'.

H.N.Werkman was a Groninger printer artist (1882-1945) who has had his printing house in the large red storehouse on the left side of the canal. This and some other storehouses used to be squats. Later they were converted into student housing. I have spent some time here and even have lived in a student flat in a storehouse in the far end on the right.
