Boats + bridges ...

Had a wonderful insight into the diversity of Sydney's architecture today, with my first day attending 'Sydney Open', where 50 iconic buildings are opened up for inspection. From exploring crypts under cathedrals, to high-tech green office spaces, to sandstone buildings from the 1800's, to NASA-grade science labs at the University of Technology .... even a visit to a fire station to see men in uniform. 

This photo sort of messes with my head in terms of scale. 


The extra is the minimalist, flowing design of the spiral staircase in the UTS Science faculty.
