Flowerdale

This is a small lochan on the burn which drains Loch Airigh a Phuil, a larger hill loch above Flowerdale in Gairloch. Like all the hill lochs we have visited recently (work or play) it is very low. I don't know how much of these rushes would be visible at high tide but they make this wee loch look quite attractive today.
The heat was oppressive today and while our actual work was straight forward getting all our heavy kit to this location was a real struggle in the heat. I actually enjoy walking the hills for pleasure but I made the 200m ascent to this site three times carrying gear and it was real punishment.
