Shopping anyone?

Raise your hand if you like shopping on Ebay.

I used to think I missed the Scottish gene for a love of shopping; the older I get though the more I seem to enjoy it. My favorite places to shop are Amazon.com; Ebay; and Etsy. Does that count? If not, add to the mix: my local garden center; and the great, big, Salvation Army thrift store near me.

I bought my DSLR for sports/dog photography and macro shots, but I've no intention to "invest" in a macro lens. Those babies are seriously expensive (who knew)! Instead, this morning my mailman delivered to my door a previously owned Canon Extension Tube, all the way from Japan, and courtesy of Ebay.

Holding my dogs back from the door this morning (one of them was willing to swallow my never-before-seen mailman whole) was almost as fun as finding a fuzzy flannel pair of pajamas on sale for 99 cents at the thrift store yesterday.

Of course the zinnia in the photo, taken with my extension tube, was also picked up, as an end of season bargain, while browsing the garden center one day :)
