'Locomotive...
... in a different light'. For four evenings this week, the National Railway Museum in York presented an opportunity to photograph some of their exhibits under unusual lighting effects, called 'Locos in a different light'. I don't usually photograph railway engines but enjoyed the challenge of the long exposures and strange lighting. I tried some shots with the Noise Reduction facility of the camera switched off and chose to use those because I felt the noise added a sparkle to the effect.
Of course, being Halloween, it was hardly surprising the place had a few ghostly figures drifting around (see extra) - or rather standing still for a little too long, for my liking.
