Common spotted orchids at the lakeside

Many thanks for all your good wishes. I did get decent night's sleep thank you - almost 8 hours - and felt so much better today. I finished a piece of writing at around 6pm so dashed off on my bike for a bit of peace and quiet for an hour.

I blipped a close-up of one of these orchids a fortnight ago but I just had to blip them again! This time I've tried to give you a better overall view of the beautiful lakeside setting. There are now dozens and dozens of them. There were also some beautiful white campions but the orchids won the day

The lakes are two reclaimed gravel pits - now looked after by the Earth Trust. I'm so lucky as they are just a 10 minute cycle from my house. See my previous Radley Lakes blips for more info.
