We must have been nuts.......

....to go to Waitrose this morning.  Halloween and half term - it was heaving.  Also a lot of the shelves were completely empty, I really don't know what had been going on.  At least we had already had the relative calm of Wiveliscombe Farmer's Market (lovely fresh vegs) and an excellent butcher.  I bought an oxtail to stew, haven't done one for years.

Then home and, as it was so warm and sunny, we sat in the garden, R even had his summer hat on - he's feeling a bit better and the sun will have done him some good.  The hornbeam hedge will be losing its leaves soon but was glowing this afternoon and there are a few stones there for you.
