Trailscape - With Dogs
We were notified earlier in the month that a Trailscape event would be taking place, starting at the village hall with runners, running past our house. They said we could expect to see runners between 0830 and 1600 hours.
It seems runners come from various parts of the country to take part in these events, which run through scenic routes and footpaths. There were three race distances today, 10K, half marathon and full marathon, but it was difficult to tell which runners were running which race. Today’s picture is of some of the runners with their dogs, about a dozen or so dogs took part and some appeared to be pulling their owners along; other pictures can be seen on my Flickr page. My extra picture, which I almost used is of a happy, smiling man, running on his own, but who still had time to speak to me as he ran past. The Lane also forms part of my 'One Street' too.
It was quite chilly this morning, but the sun came out during the morning and I was warm enough taking photographs outside wearing a sleeveless top,
