Today's back blip is a £2 coin I got in change a week or so ago that I have been keeping to blip on a cold/wet day such as today.

The coin is one of two that were issued to commemorate Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the son of a French engineer who is normally regarded as on of the greatest British engineers of all time as well as one of the greatest Britons of all time. Strange that the son of an immigrant turned out so well, better not tell some people, they do get very hot about things like that...

This coin is a bit bashed, and as nearly 8 million were minted it's probably worth exactly it's face value, but you never know so it will go into my pile of interesting coins...
