Damp day

A grey day and I decided to visit Lawrence's Sesquicentennial Point, which is very much a work in progress. Begun in 2004, it comprises a timeline of steps of limestone slabs, each engraved with a year and any significant event for that year. Some steps have the names of "worthy citizens", others more important events.
This is a young country and especially here in the Midwest a very short history. Thus one does one's best!!
