Wonderful Windermere

A rainy start to the day so we headed to Ambleside and sat it out in a coffee shop til the rain cleared then walked up to Stock Gyhll Falls. We found a nice pub for lunch then drove to Windermere and hired a couple of boats. We had a wonderful time driving round the lake, taking in the stunning scenery and riding the wakes of the pleasure steamers.
Shopping in Booths (Alf's new favourite supermarket) then dinner at The Priors and hilarious games and laughing 'til our cheeks hurt.
Such a fantastic few days. I think we are all sad to leave.
