torchlight...

...in black & white

i don't often do photos - in mono or b&w - i tend to doubt my own ability - in being able to do them justice - to get it right - because i believe there is - a critical technique to black & white - perhaps it's my own opinion or i'm being - too hard on myself i don't know - i just have hesitations with it all - call me silly

but today - well, i saw this dried flower - it simply struck me it needed to be done - in mono or not at all - and to be represented as a torchlight - standing as a beacon amidst all others - giving strength, endurance and courage - when needed, to anyone and everyone making it...
