Congestion
My favorite time of the year is beginning, Dia de los Muertos. This special time of the year transforms so many aspects of our life, along with every community in Mexico. Our market is a prime example. The street around the mercado are often congested, but this time of the year such crowding is intensified. Special stalls are erected along the narrow streets, reducing their width even further. As usual, the Mexican people take it all in stride, waiting patiently for the now too close bus to inch past and then going back about their business. The transito, transit police, in the foreground does little to keep things organized, more intent on randomly blowing his whistle rather than in any prescribed manner. All part of this wonderful time of year.
