Kankku Attitude

Today we rented ex MOD Land Rovers from Kankku. The deal is that we give them money, they give us Land Rovers and very precise instructions, almost like pace notes for a Rally. 4.3km sharp left over bridge, .3km gate..etc

80km ...About half is off road with a mixture of gentle green lanes and slightly less gentle stuff. All utterly brilliant.

Like my Uncle Alf, our Alfie was chief navigator and did a fantastic job, we only missed one turn and that was my fault for driving a bit fast. As expected the Land Rovers are pretty basic, no Power Steering etc, I think Sam (who drove the other car) and I felt like we'd had a work out by the end of the day. Everyone else joined in, with gate opening, screaming and laughing ;)

Out into Windermere for dinner, we went to a restaurant that specialised in local game. This was also excellent although the pudding managed to defeat Alf.
