Orchid in the bar

I had another great day today with student graduation. So much excitement from students and though I was struggling with energy after the events of yesterday I always enjoy this event, my last as Public Orator. This is the privileged role of reading out all the names before they go to collect their degree. Over 200 names all in Chinese. It went well.

This evening I have met up with my family group and caught up with their last two days. My son and his partner returun to UK in the early hours and then my daughter and hubby the same 24 hours later after we have watched the rugby World Cup final, with three New Zealanders I would not dare to support anyone else.

By Sunday night they are all gone and I have two more days with another meal with alumni on Monday night. What a memorable trip though I will be ready for a few days recuperation.

Heard today my Mum is cleared to return home which she will be pleased about. My blip was taken as I went to the restrooms and spotted this glorious orchid (I hope I am right!) in the bar area. First pic of the day it's just been too busy.

Well time for bed now!
