world in a grain of sand

tempted?

I read that some scholars or other think that the apple in the garden of Eden was an apricot. You'd think they'd have said so.
Anyway, this apricot is very beautiful, with it's warm colours and tactile skin, and has been photographed because I worked late and it was raining when I got in!
Some of the villages around here, particularly Kidlington were famous for apricots and used to send tonnes of them up to London by train. Few of the trees remain, but they were generally grown on the chimney wall of the cottages to protect them from frost.
Thanks for yesterday's stars and kind comments, I hope to improve tomorrow. (not a bad motto for life!)
