Hangdog

Poor Jonty was decidely subdued today. No leaping up to say hello this morning, no spinning in circles as his breakfast arrived. Just lots of leaning against us and droopy eyes.

So this afternoon we took him in to see Catherine the adorable vet. She felt him all over, checked every orifice, took his temperature, and said she had no idea what's wrong. However she did say he'd lost a kilo since April. She asked how much food we give him and it transpired that I've been feeding him less than I should.

With two plump dogs already in the household I'd put him on a tad over their rations, but it's not enough for a young lively dog.

Now I feel really guilty. Of course he's perked up no end since his trip to see Catherine. Perhaps it's the promise of bigger meals.
