We visited Fort George this morning to see my son's great grandfather's medals that are on loan to the museum....
He was a highly decorated soldier who won the Military Cross, the Military Medal and the Distinguished Conduct Medal in the space of two years in World War One....he survived the war and was a career soldier....an unassuming man by all accounts.
