A longish wandering walk over the South Downs with the spaniel this afternoon ending up at one of my favourite spots - Mount Caburn - with its views down the Ouse valley to the Channel, east towards Firle Beacon and west across Lewes and along the spine of the Downs. That's when its not low cloud with a sea mist billowing in. Couldn't see a thing so we headed north and homeward. In five hours walking the nearest we got to another person was sight of this man in the distance heading west towards Lewes.
