Carlisle Christmas
The day was forecast as wet, and there were things we needed in Carlisle so that seemed the best use of the day. A lazy start to the day so it was lunch by the we were ready to set off.
We made a slight detour by a garden centre to see if they had anything "different" for the Lodge decorations as we have guests over both Christmas and New Year. Of course we claimed our free coffee from the Garden Club while we were there.
Then it was on into Carlisle which was a strange mix between Halloween and Christmas. When I was young an Advent Calendar was the "count down" to Christmas. To have a calendar which counted down it would now need to be at least 100 days long.
