Tight fit

I'd hoped to have a blip of Benedict today, but the Cat Help lady had an emergency to deal with. Disappointing for me but hopefully good for a Mum cat and her new born kittens. I'll visit tomorrow instead.

No photo of Benedict, instead the front end loader carefully transporting an 8m long sheet of steel down my street. As you can see, the street is about the same width. It's a tight squeeze past lamp posts.

Once the steel is delivered, the digger picks up one end and maneuvers it into vertical position. A guy lines it up with his level and signals to the digger driver which way to make minute changes to the angle of the steel sheet. The machine thing on the end of the diggers thing (technical terms ;-) then drives it into the ground.

While preparing 4 trout and 1 salmon for smoking tomorrow, I slipped with a sharp knife and sliced a finger. Unfortunately I was only on fish no. 1.

The kitchen resembled a crime scene. I've used 6 steri strips and I'm not sure I'm winning. I can raid my tramping first aid kit for more stuff. I think I'll live.

Bugger.
