Thursday: Biennale

This evening, K. and I met up with Morana and Gabi to go to the opening of the Zagreb Biennale art exhibition.  Part of the reason for going was that Denis, Gabi's boyfriend, and Danko, another friend of ours, both had pieces in the exhibition.  As neither of them could be there, we decided to go on their behalf.

We got there quite early before the doors opened.  It didn't matter,, though, as there was free mulled wine, rakija and roasted chestnuts on offer outside the venue.  Burning fires in oil drums also added to the atmosphere as we stood outside.

Some of the art was great, some was a bit avantgarde.  We then decamped to a bar to discuss........
