Tree

It's been another rather wet day, but it brightened up a bit towards evening so I took my camera & tripod up on the Hollins Hill which overlooks Macclesfield town, hoping for a nice sunset. Unfortunately the sun declined to give me a show of colour, but I did spot this rather splendid tree silhouetted against the evening sky, with the lights of the town behind and below.

On the way back I captured a shot of the canal from one of the bridges -  this is today's "extra".
