Fallen Leaves

Although my house was new twenty odd years ago, it was built with a strip of hedgerow and trees at the back.  So at this time of the year the patio and lawn get covered in fallen leaves.  I quite like this, although I'm not sure all my neighbours are so keen of the same thing in their gardens!!!  This was the scene before I got the lawn rake and broom out and now a half full wheelly bin is ready for the dustmen.

"Come little leaves," 
said the Wind one day,
"Come to the meadows
With me and play;
Put on your dresses 
Of red and gold;
Summer is gone, 
and the days grow cold."
