An Unexpected Guest

This morning I collected leaves, ferns and branches to take to school for a class to sketch.  When they were underway with the task there was a little squeal of surprise when someone noticed the plant was moving.  At first they thought it was a Praying Mantis but then it was identified as a Stick Insect. It was really fun watching it walking and then swaying on a plant.   I didn't expect it have such a detailed 'face'.
