Red-browed Finch

On today's walk I spotted half a dozen of these finches, which are a new variety to me. Nearby, I found a quartet of binocular-eyed ladies who were inspecting woodswallows and they helped me identify the finches as 'red-browed'.  I'm rubbish at capturing birds in flight, so I'm quite pleased with this shot. 

The extra is a sitting portrait. I hope you like him. He was being very brave while his friends hid in the bushes or dived into nearby grass. This 15 seconds of fame is his reward.
