Luck

A Cormorant landed at the very moment when I got off the bus home after work and it kept looking around just long enough until I'd managed to get the camera out of my bag and take three photos before disappearing under water. I could barely believe my luck, especially because not only had my shift ended later than I'd expected and I didn't have time to look for something else to blip before I had to get ready for this evening's meeting, but also because the sky, which had already looked rather gloomy before, got even darker as I continued my walk home and it started to rain only moments after I'd gone inside.
