If you can't beat them...

Christmas decorations.

There were some potential shots of Rydal that we wanted with autumn colour.  The weather wasn't particularly nice but we thought we would have a run out to see how the colours were coming along like.

Our viewing made us decide to give it a go at the first decent weather, giving us the chance to return if the colour got better.   We had in the back of our minds that a sudden frost and high winds could take them all if we weren't careful.

Having gone that far we popped into Hayes for a coffee and of course a wander round.  Garden centres and Christmas always puzzle me.  A third of the year seems to be given over to Christmas, one month moving things out and putting new stock in and three with them displayed.

This is part of the main display which if you wanted to produce anything vaguely like it would cost thousands of pounds.
