Flower Bed!

Had yet another wonderful day.  I could get used to this not working.  Almost had to recently. We have undergone a restructure and had to be interviewed for our own posts, a reduction of 50% was what was being sought.  I've had my interview and been selected good news for me, but I am having to say goodbye to some amazing colleagues again.

Anyway up and out very early this morning to try and catch a sunrise.  Again it didn't happen, they sky was a little pink but that was as good as it got.   the bonus was that I got to see some of the seals.  They have started coming up the beach and getting close enough to photograph.  My extra photo is of one of them.

Over to Grimsby this afternoon to return an ill fitting keyboard for Hubbies Hudl, then on to Waltham Windmill.  Unfortunately this is closed until Easter as is the small museum. But we did stumble across a hidden gem of a The Mill's Folly Shabby Chic Coffee and Cake shop..  We enjoyed a freshly made pot of tea some scrumptious carrot cake and a wander around shop amongst the wonderful array of shabby chic items.  I have purchased some rather unusual glass droplet Christmas baubles that will look wonderful on my tree this year.  But the thing that made me smile the most was the flower "bed" in the photograph. Such a clever idea, and obviously the plants are displayed at a height that is accessible to the buyer.  Ingenious.  I loved it.

Starting sorting my outfit out for the Monsters Ball.  My bargain trousers need turning up by about ten inches, (I am quite short) but because of the fabric they are made from I am going to cheat and get them done on one of the stall at the shopping centre who advertise alterations.  Need to start on the day coat and shoes - shoes first I think as it won't mater if I don't get time to alter the coat.  Photographs of the ball to follow.
