More fungi

A fraught spell of work and very glad to be finished for a week or so.  The city was thick with fog this morning but managed to find these fungi at the base of a tree in the hospital grounds.  

While I was at work last night the police were at the door at home speaking to my husband to ask if he had heard anything as somebody had tried to break in to my neighbour's house.  There has been a spate of burglaries in the village over the last month.  Last week the police were knocking on doors making folks aware, asking us to be vigilant and last weekend there were mounted police patrolling the village after dark.  It is quite un-nerving and particularly as burglary is such a difficult crime to solve and those responsible are unlikely to be caught.
