Gently down the stream

Intentions

I had no intention of blipping flowers of any sort today. I had intended to do a person shot, but things don't always work in the way they should, and with so little time I had to go with what was best from my morning walk.

So here is a low key bramble flower, with it's brown stamens and crinkled pale pink petals that the light is doing quite interesting things to, I think.. I love the rose family and I like to think of the blackberries to come. This bank of brambles is down by the Nun's Stream and looks set to produce quite a crop.

Today my sister and brother-in-law go back to Texas. My lovely son and his girlfriend came down last night and, together with my daughter, we all had a farewell drink in the garden of the King Alfred and laughed a lot. Tonight is the last choir rehearsal before our concert next week. Work is a berserker. Yep, life's a bit full on right now.

Hope you're good.. x
