Again - the acer

Rain and heavy cloud at first, but the sun still managed to break through around lunchtime. I can't resist the Acer - with the contrast between the vibrant leaves and the dark contours of the boughs.

The goldfinches and other finches are back now, not in huge numbers, but are still messily making the most of the sunflower hearts
