Textures

The old wall along the cliff top is very tumbled down and covered with lichen and mosses.  It's fascinating to see what grows up there in the teeth of the gales and the salt spray.

More long dog walks trying to tire out Scratch! She covers about five times the distance Ollie and I cover, but then she's only five years old!  Our hurtling around the place days are fewer and further between now!  

In other news, I made a pear, ginger and walnut upside down pudding, a delicious recipe from Claire Macdonald - just the thing for a chilly postman to come home to, and to replace any of my lost calories!  And naturally we had it with lashings of custard . . . . !
