Swamp Cypress

One of my favourite trees at Trentham Gardens, especially at this time of the year. It's leaves gradually turn a burnt orange and the bark is beautifully coloured too.

The trunk is quite twisted. To me the whole tree feels as though it's making every effort to reach the sky!

I've added an extra photo of the whole tree. You can see how the trunk leans like the Tower of Pisa.
