Wandering on Wimbledon
I was waiting for the tube to Richmond, where I'd intended to go for a wander, but spotted a tube travelling to Wimbledon and thought, no, I'll go for a stroll on Wimbledon Common instead, as I'd only been there once before, when it was raining. I thought I'd get a photo of the windmill, but was disappointed to see its sails had been removed! It just looked like a white shed on top of a brick cone! Apparently one of the sails had fallen off and damaged the roof below, so they've removed them all for repair. There was a very busy cafe nearby (I'd forgotten it was half term this week...trust me to use my leave up to book a week off at half term!) It was a lovely afternoon, sat outside with a coffee in the sunshine and couldn't be bothered to walk any further into the heath! It had taken me a while to walk there from Wimbledon Station, so I headed back, had a rummage around a few charity shops, then headed home, as we had tickets to see Spectre in the evening, which was as thrilling, action-packed and spectacular as ever (Pierce Brosnan is still my favourite though!)
The photos I took on Wimbledon Common yesterday were so awful, it was difficult to find one to put on here today! I'll be back later to comment and look at your blips...the sun is out now, so I want to make the most of it before the rain that is forecast tomorrow arrives.
