Alpaca ...

We didn't want our vacation to end just yet so we decided to check out some of the many farms that are open today as a result the Lehigh County Open Gate Farm Tour. 

This open gate farm tour is an annual event put on by Penn State Extension.  And we try to attend every year.  Northampton County also had theirs last weekend but since we were on our vacation we were unable to attend.

I took this picture at The Gress Mountain Ranch.  The Gress Mountain Ranch is a public charity, housing large, small, and exotic animals in a sanctuary. It is a safe haven and place of recovery for over 60+ permanent animal residents. The animals become therapy animals and help people improve their self-worth, communications skills, and learn respect for all living beings.  I did not get his/her name!


We went to several other farms before returning home.  It was a nice way to spend the afternoon.
