The Tide Had Just Turned

11.4C and bright with long sunny spells. Light breeze.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went for a walk after lunch. I forgot to take the Nano. We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. The cauliflower field has been harvested and the remaining tops from the plants removed, possibly taken away for animal feed. Sometimes sheep are put in the fields after the harvests to eat what remains of the plants, but not this time.

We turned right at Craigmill farm, where the farmer was stacking bales from a trailer load into a barn with a forklift. We went down the track to the shore road. We came back along the cycle path then carried on along the road and went down to the beach at Westhaven via the road bridge over the railway. The tide had just turned and although it was beginning to go out the waves were still very high on the beach.

We came back over the road bridge over the railway then carried on round in a long loop heading into Carnoustie and up the main road before turning along for home.

Note: I went large and quite liked this one myself :-)
