Mono Monday - ORIGINS - MM91
Teasel - wild ornamental weed on the sunny fall day
Teasel is endemic to Europe. Dried head was used in raising the nap of cloth and for wool "fleecing". Possibly teasel was introduced to North America accidentally with other plant material from Europe. Teasel has spread rapidly in the last 20-30 years. The use of teasel in flower arrangements also has aided its dispersal.
