Pastures new

An important day for the hens today, they got moved back to their winter quarters, down at the vegetable plot we "borrow" from our neighbours.  During the summer they have been in our next door neighbour's unused veg garden, but It's much more sheltered along  the road, surrounded by trees, and the ground is a lot drier and better drained.  So handy having folk nearby with large gardens and no  use for them!

So sheltered along at the "allittlement" (as opposed to allotment!) that we managed to grow a reasonable crop of the runner beans this year.  Picked the last of them today, but well worth waiting for!
