Poppy

This is Poppy. Yes another doggy photo. Poppy is a rescue dog from West Calder Dogs Trust. She has Westie Lung a form of pulmonary thrombosis (hardening/thickening in her lung). She is getting full treatment to slow this illness down as there is no cure.
A sob story.. Nope... Because she doesn't know she's ill. She just gets on with life. Her claim to fame is two fold. One is she has a series of Geocaches named after her in South Queensferry, where she lives. And two she has her own fan club. The folks at the retirement home are often ambushed by the white "love me" dog. She stands square in front of the and demands a pat on the head or a tickled ear to pass!. Now strangers have a common bond and can be seem chatting away together after a Poppy pat when before they may have passed in silence.
So not a sad story but one that says that only we allow our disabilities to disable us.
Be like Poppy, don't focus on what's wrong, just out and get your own pats on the head.
