Dunlin Portrait
Probably one of the most numerous on my daily beach visit, but when one singles its self out for a portrait I couldn't resist! A very pretty little wader and he now knows me quite well and doesn't even both to do a flying loop now, although if I got out of the car I'm sure he would emit a loud 'pea whistle' and fly off to the other end of the lagoon. I was very surprised to learn about the Common Sandpiper just eating insects, this Dunlin prefers worms and molluscs.
