Ooooh...For the Energy of Youth

Merrick's 5th birthday is tomorrow, but we had a party for him at our church today. 7 little boys, and one brave little girl.

The party had a Spiderman theme, and his parents rented a bounce house from a local hardware store. Grandma Lisa made cupcakes and vegetable pizza, Aunt Lori made a form of nachos, and Aunt Terrie brought Chex Mix. All were yummy. There was also a Pin-the-tail on Spiderman game, and a Spiderman piñata.

So, what happens when you put 8 near-five year olds in a bounce house? YIKES! It was both tiring to watch, and...VERY, VERY NOISY, with a lot of screaming going on.

His favorite toy that he opened? That's where Papa scored. He took the Tonka truck/loader that we bought him, and just pushed and pushed it around the gym.

Five years old, but he is...and always will be...our baby.
