what next?

Saw this Robin on the wire with what I thought was a worm. I was surprised that it sat there so long, but then I thought maybe it was resting before taking breakfast back to the nest. You know, stealing a few quiet moments away from the demands of home. On closer observation, I see this bird has speared its prey and perhaps is not sure how to get breakfast off its beak and into its mouth!
