Steamy facial
I started blip on 29th October 2011 when it was the Autumn Steam Spectacular at the Watercress Line in Alresford.
It seemed appropriate to go again.
I spent a lot of time close to the trains trying to see through the steam ie getting a steamy facial. I was the only woman taking photos.
In this image you can see the LNER A4 Class No 4464 'Bittern' on the left and the
British Railways Standard Class 9F - 92212 on the right, see additional photo. It was annoyingly in the siding and constantly producing steam which made photographing anything difficult.
The other additional photo shows the Southern Railways Lord Nelson Class 'Lord Nelson' - 850 as it has steamed into Alresford from Alton. The autumn colours are lovely.
As is always the case we met lots of nice people and Murphy met lots of nice dogs.
I've done some gardening since returning home as I had some more new plants to put in and the soil was wonderfully wet after the rain of yesterday.
