The Tea Chests

We finally emptied all the attic spaces at Mum and Dad's house today. What a lot of work it has been.  

Four old tea chests were lurking in a far corner.  I recognised these immediately, at times I felt we lived out of them, as we had so many removals when I was young.  Mum used to carefully wrap all her dishes, china and kitchen items and pack them in these chests.

This was the clearest of the logos stamped on the sides.  They came all the way from Assam in January 1962.
