Autumn and bad luck

There's a spot on Thirlmere where I love to go in the Autumn and this is where I got this shot.

I love the rich oranges and greens and yellows and all the different shades that this time of year produces, and I was really looking forward to spending several hours at this spot just taking photos.

Well, after 7 shots - yes, SEVEN SHOTS - my camera locked up. I think the battery ran out. And that was it. End of the day. Finito. Endex.

I was gutted. I am hoping to go back on Tuesday and get some more shots, but the days when the light is right and the weather is right, and the leaves are there.... few and far between.

I shall live in hope!
