Just a little early ...

My granddaughters - who are staying here this weekend - were delighted when they heard that Mary and the Sunday school would be carving pumpkins this week. Yes, there are those who rail against the dark side of Hallowe'en, but with the simple expedient of reminding us of the Light of the World the whole ethos shifted - and the delight on the faces of the children would be enough to lighten any darkness.

These, then, are the lanterns. Kudos to Mary for doing this with such a big group - and to Andrew as well, for whatever he said to persuade the manager of Morrison's that they should be allowed to buy 16 pumpkins ...
