First seal pup of this season

Born on the same day as last year the first pup arrived today! Even though we announced on the Donna Nook Warden facebook page that there was not a lot to see there were still 560 visitors today!
A frost early morning gave way to a lovely sunny day and the seals are all beginning to come onto the saltmarsh to pup. Maybe we will beat the 1700 pups that were born to this colony last year.
Not a great photo as the seals are still some way out on the beach. The pup is the small white one on the right of the picture
Meanwhile my sister's dogs have not understood the clock change and were more than ready for their food an hour too soon! see extra photo.
